Account information (when you sign in with Apple):

Firebase user ID
Email address (if shared by Apple)
Display name (if shared by Apple on first sign-in)
Account creation and last sign-in timestamps
Whether you have created a brand profile (hasBrand)

Brand profile information (optional, if you subscribe and complete brand setup):

Brand name, tagline, and description
Year established, specialty, and location (text you enter — not GPS)
Shop or website URL
Brand hero image you upload
Visibility preference (isVisible)

Support and safety actions:

In-app feedback: your user ID, message text, and timestamp
Brand reports: reported brand ID, reason, timestamp, and your user ID

Information collected automatically

App version (when you delete your account)
Cached brand images on your device
Aggregated store-link click counts for brands
Firebase/Google platform and analytics data (Analytics is enabled for the project)
Subscription and purchase metadata processed by Apple via StoreKit

Information we do not collect

Precise device location or GPS coordinates
Your contacts or full photo library (you choose a single image during brand setup)
Social likes, reactions, or a separate username field

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

Create and manage your account
Show the brand discovery feed and brand profiles
Process brand subscriptions and brand listing creation
Open external brand shop links you choose to visit
Review reports, moderate content, and enforce our terms (brands with three or more reports may be unapproved)
Respond to feedback and improve the app
Maintain security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations

4. Third-Party Services

5. Data Storage, Security & Retention

Data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure. We use industry-standard measures to protect information, but no system is completely secure.

Account deletion: You can delete your account in Account settings. Deletion removes your Firebase Authentication account, user profile, brand profile (if any), and uploaded brand images.

Records we may retain after deletion:

A limited audit entry in deleted_accounts (user ID, email if available, deletion date, whether you had a brand, app version, and source) for compliance and operations
Brand reports you submitted may remain in reported_brands

Subscriptions: Deleting your app account does not cancel an active Apple subscription. Cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

6. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. In the app you can:

Sign out at any time
Edit brand information (if you have a brand account)
Delete your account permanently

7. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at [TBD].

8. International Users

If you use the app outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the app, you consent to that transfer where permitted by law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
